Augustus, 27 BC-AD 14. Denarius (Silver, 18 mm, 3.87 g, 5 h), Rome, P. Petronius Turpilianus, moneyer, 19 BC. TVRP[ILIANVS] III•VIR / FE-RON Diademed and draped bust of Feronia to right, wearing pearl-necklace. Rev. CA[ESAR] AVGVSTVS•SIGN RECE Parthian kneeling to right, presenting signum with vexillum decorated with four pellets attached. BMC 14. Cohen 484. RIC 288 var. (with X instead of pellets on vexillum). Nicely toned. Struck slightly off center, otherwise, very fine.
